Terms of Use
These terms are an agreement between you and The Wee Company (ABN 15 338 828 654, Victoria, Australia) ("we", "us"). They cover the Chef Rumble iPhone app and the service behind it. By using Chef Rumble you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use the app.
This agreement is between you and us only, not with Apple. Apple is not responsible for Chef Rumble or its content.
Who can use it
You must be at least 13 years old and able to enter a contract. You are responsible for everything done under your account and for keeping your password safe. Tell us at hello@theweecompany.com.au if you think someone else has access.
Your licence
We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use Chef Rumble on Apple devices you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Terms of Service. You may not copy, resell, rent, reverse engineer, or try to extract the source of the app, and you may not use it to build a competing product or scrape it in bulk.
Subscriptions
Chef Rumble requires a paid subscription after onboarding. We currently offer Solo and Household plans, monthly or yearly, each with a free trial of the length shown at purchase.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase.
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the current period ends.
- Your Apple ID is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends, at the price shown at purchase.
- Manage or cancel in iOS Settings > your name > Subscriptions. Cancelling stops the next renewal; it does not refund the current period.
- If you subscribe during a free trial, any unused part of the trial is forfeited.
- Prices may change. We will tell you before a change affects you, and you can cancel before it takes effect.
- Purchases are handled by Apple. Refunds are at Apple's discretion under the App Store terms; we cannot issue them ourselves.
Your content
Your recipes, notes, pantry entries, and household details stay yours. You give us the licence we need to store, process, and display them so the app works, including sending the relevant parts to our AI provider to answer you. We do not use your content to train AI models.
Do not upload anything unlawful, abusive, or that infringes someone else's rights, and do not upload other people's personal information without their say-so.
AI-generated content, allergies, and food safety
Read this part. Chef Rumble uses AI to generate recipes, meal plans, substitutions, and cooking guidance. AI output can be wrong. It may get an ingredient, a cook time, a temperature, a nutrition figure, or an allergen wrong, even when you have entered an allergy or dietary need.
Chef Rumble is not a medical, dietary, or nutritional service and is not a substitute for professional advice. Always check ingredient labels yourself and use your own judgement, especially where an allergy, intolerance, pregnancy, medical condition, or religious requirement is involved. You are responsible for the safe handling, storage, and cooking of your food. If you have a serious allergy, do not rely on this app alone.
Acceptable use
Do not attack, overload, or probe the service, do not use it through automated means beyond normal app use, and do not use it for anything unlawful. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms.
Availability
We may change, suspend, or discontinue features. We aim to keep the service running but do not promise uninterrupted availability. If we permanently shut the service down, we will give reasonable notice and stop billing.
Disclaimer and liability
Chef Rumble is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we exclude all implied warranties, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price; to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation.
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential loss, and our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
Nothing here excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded. If you are a consumer in a jurisdiction with mandatory consumer guarantees (for example the Australian Consumer Law), those rights apply on top of these terms.
Third-party beneficiary
Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you. You confirm you are not in a country subject to a US embargo or designated as terrorist-supporting, and that you are not on any US list of prohibited or restricted parties. You must comply with any third-party terms that apply when using the app.
Support
Apple has no obligation to provide support for Chef Rumble. For help, contact us at hello@theweecompany.com.au.
Claims and legal
Any claim that Chef Rumble infringes someone's intellectual property is our responsibility to handle, not Apple's. Any other product claim, including product liability and consumer protection claims, is between you and us and not Apple.
Ending it
You can stop using Chef Rumble and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination do so.
Changes
We may update these terms. If a change matters, we will tell you in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use Chef Rumble after that means you accept the new terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia, and the courts there have non-exclusive jurisdiction, without affecting consumer rights you have where you live.
